Who is John Francis Bongiovi?

The name Bon Jovi came about from Jerry Jaffe, the mind of A&R at PolyGram, stating that it had a similar sound to Van Halen.

The group however weren`t particularly keen on the theme but later some debate and little fanfare the group adopted the name Bon Jovi as their corporate name and John dropped the `h` from his name to become Jon Bon Jovi.

Some would contend with me on the deed of this. But if the truth be told. Bon Jovi really hasn't put anything relevant out as far as an all out Rock album since "Keep The Faith" many, many moons ago. The only album that could make yet get near to "Keep The Faith" was "Crush" and yet that was very lack luster in a lot of places.

Salt Lake City Reviews

Some of the reviews I've found so far were lukewarm at best for last night's SLC show. The reader for the Salt Lake City Tribune thought the dark was lacking oomph, and that the band's lyrics were trite:

The nucleus of the band - the eternally youthful Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, drummer Tico Torres and keyboardist David Bryan - was enthusiastic enough, though, for the about part, the members appeared as if they weren`t around to forget everything on the stage.
